Paul and his family crashed at our house last night. They are headed out this morning to see if they can find the pets.

Fuck. Can we get the ball rolling on a donation drive or something? I used Indiegogo for my cousin but didn't like all the fees. Any other suggestions?

Glad he and his family are safe, that's the most important thing. Hope they can find their pets.

Works for me. NABR already has a PayPal account, can we use that or is that complicated? Who administrates that? Ryan?

I'm pretty sure Ryan administers it, and we can send the money as "gift" to avoid the fees.

I'll let him post up the details.

James, check with Paul or get him to check in here and let us know what all they can use. (Money, obviously) but if there is other stuff that is always hard to find during a disaster, I'm sure there are plenty of us that can ship a care package or two direct from Amazon.

I finally got a moment to take a breather. My family is safe. My wife decided to go get our twins early from Briarwood elementary school. My older son was up the road at the junior high. Had she not done this my twins would have been in one of those two flattened schools. My house is a total loss. I was able to salvage some pictures and if I can get back in I'll try and get a few more irreplaceables that I find. I couldn't stay last night nor could I carry as much as I could have salvaged. Today was just a cluster with no real results other than getting the insurance ball rolling. Both my dogs and my two cats are missing. I'll let this picture speak for itself. http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n...g?t=1369175240
Thanks to everybody for reaching out to help. It is very much appreciated. I am still trying to process everything. This is easily the worst disaster I've personally experienced. I don't wish this upon anybody. I've seen things I'll never ever forget.

Jeez, talk about devastating damage. I won't make some lame comment about people being more important that possessions - as if that takes the sting out. I'll echo Josh, NABR takes care of it's own. Process what you can and let us all know how we can best help you guys in the coming weeks and months. One thing is for certain, we want to do what we can without stepping on any toes. I'm sure there are plenty of us that have stuff like hotel points if you guys need a night or two in a room somewhere for some time to yourselves, some kind of entertainment for y'alls kids, etc.

Maybe there are some board games or books that the kids loved and lost? Clothes? Whatever man. I'm just shooting from the hip here.

    Stay strong brother!

Wow, totally insane but I am glad you and your family is safe. I hope you find your pets unharmed as well. I will echo the others here, let us know how we can best help. If you need money, say the word. I have a PSVita I was looking to offload since I don't use it. Not sure how old your children are but if it can help them (or you) pass the time, tell me where to ship it and it is out the door yesterday. I have some clothes I can donate as well. Anything you might need, please let us know what we can do best helps you and your family.

I have a ton of clothes as well. I could easily unload half of my wife's clothes and she wouldn't know. I also have way to many clothes of my daughter who doesn't fit anymore, from like 6 years to 9 years old. I have a bunch of toys I was going to unload as well, I can box all this shit up and get it out in the next day or two (not sure how old your kids are).

In case any of you guys are not friends with Paul on facebook, he has just posted this up on there:

I've finally taken a moment to catch my breath. For those that don't already know I lost my house as a result of the tornado. So many of you have offered up your assistance and my family greatly appreciates your support. We could use any donations you have as the cleanup process is messy.
My children are ages 10, 10 and 14
    10 year old twins
Jamie (age 10)Girls sizes top 14-16, 12-14 pant and 7.5 womens shoe
Daniel (age 10)boy size boys top 14-16, 14-16 pant and 6-6.5 mens shoe (not sure where boys stop and mens shoes start)

Joshua (age 14)16-18 pant (30 waist), xl(16-18) shirt or mens med, shoe 7 mens

Paul xxl shirt, 38-30 pans and 9.5 shoe
Lisa 14 pant, large or xl womens shirt, shoe 8.5-9

Donations can be sent to 5816 Hilltop drive, Oklahoma city, OK 73121

It's amazing what you find out you own when suddenly you don't have it anymore.

I'm not sure what people can do as far as getting into the site. I wasn't even able to get there yesterday. If anybody wants to help with cleanup please reach out to me via cell at 4055034999. I'm going down today to salvage what I can.

Thank you everybody and God Bless.

Paul, let me know if it's ok with you to pass along the content of your Facebook post to other people that are not NABR. I have a few friends that would probably like to help out but I don't want to go tossing your info out there for all to see.

I didn't realize my facebook page isn't public so I made it so today. I have made updates there. It was a long hard day today. I found 3 or my 4 animals so it was a good day. Updates can be found on my facebook page. Feel free to share with anybody. If anybody has something to keep kids occupied please send it my way. I simply don't have enough time to get things done and shop and find stuff for them etc. They are helping along the way so they are occupied but my 10yr old boy has a broken leg so he's been with his grandparents and there is little to do at their house. Thanks to all who has offered support, sent generous donations and offered your thoughts and prayers to us. I gotta tell you I may not fit into the mans man John Wayne sort of character, I mean I don't cry at Old Yeller but this event has put me against the ropes. It's been very humbling.

Does anyone have extra Xbox 360 games? I have a 360 but no games.

Paul messaged me. They are staying with his inlaws. The boys Nintendo DS surrived so those keep them busy.

I'm getting ready to send a box of clothes their way.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I don't wish this type of event on anybody but if anybody ever experiences a disaster like this I hope you have friends like I do. Due to the generous donations of this group and others I now have 1500$ in my paypal account and untold amounts of clothing and goods on the way. I also have some very cool Magnus Tshirts. Thank you all for your support.

I couldn't find any of my PS2 games, so I just sent him a Wii. I only had 2 games, so if you have a few Wii games send them his way

A couple people are asking if there's a local distribution center for donated goods??? Something like a local church or school.

Every church local is taking donations as well as the red cross, united way etc. Honestly it appears as if there is too much stuff at this point. People aren't settled yet and can't process it fast enough. Myself included. We're in cleanup mode now.
