Or play Jazz music loudly, Judge Dredd finds it unacceptable.

They gonna go Ruby Ridge on his ass?
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy." - Alexander Fraser Tytler

"The historical cycle (of democracy) seems to be: From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to apathy; from apathy to dependency; and from dependency back to bondage once more." - Henning Webb Prentis, Jr.

"This year (1935) will go down in history! For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!"

DOH, the link I posted above I saw it on facebook. Looks like a spoof site as in The Onion. Before anyone takes it seriously, check the main site. Sorry about that.

Not that I wanted anyone else to die, but if it is Dorner, I'm somewhat disappointed. He talked a big talk (and it sounded as if he had the training to back it up?). Seems stupid to me that he would steal a truck and flee. Why wouldn't he stay low?

I was thinking the same thing, but it seems like he just kept getting shit on everytime he tried something. Couldn't get the boat in SD, truck possibly failed on him (someone said broke axle?), tried to get another truck today, but was foiled and had to retreat back in the woods..

If he was serious about escaping the area most recently, he could have just killed the guy and stole his truck. I'm assuming the guy alerted PD as soon as dorner drove off with his pickup.

I know its hard to really take what the media says with a ton of truth behind it. But from what I heard on the news. Apparently he had two people hostage and one of them escaped. If that is in fact the case, I could see why he wanted to gtfo of there.

I just wonder if he had some real dirt on the PD. We'll probably never know for sure now. They certainly didn't waste no time putting a astronomical bounty on him, and then raising it another $200,000 overnight.

Well case closed now. Ty, fill us in on the juicy non-civilian details?

Seemed like luck was against him and he didn't plan for failure.

He drove a Nissan Titan 2WD of all vehicle and if you ever been to Big Bear during winter. I see 4WD get stuck all the time unless your vehicle is equip with a locker and winch.

The shooting in Torrance with the two civilians were deemed by the DA shooting team to be in policy. Too bad the public doesn't see it that way.

You gotta Google it. I'm not going to do all the leg work and try to explain California's law on Use of Force. Like I said it doesn't look good because the the general public doesn't know the law, polices, and procedure. Those 9 officers who were involved in the shooting are my co workers. And I'm not going to sit back and sideline quarter back them on the what if scenario. Trust me if the LA County DA shooting team deemed it was lawful. That's all it matters..the rest I could careless what the public thinks.

Here's a hint. Look up and read Graham vs. Connor case.

Got it. We covered that pretty extensively in the Academy. We don't know any of the "objectively reasonable" observations.

The media said they shot up a truck and that's it.

Based on the information that was given to us at that time. The media doesn't always tell you the whole story and like to twist things around.

There's always the question everyone asked. How do you mistaken a dark colored Nissan Titan truck for a light blue colored Tacoma? Easy, put on your NV, don't sleep for 3 days and stand around on a dark street. The media doesn't always ask, well if there were 6 patrol cars parked with its 12 spot light shining at you. Common sense would tell you to stop. Not accelerate towards them with your lights turned off. Again the what if game we are playing. I'm just glad the two lady didn't die from that.
