    Default Mechanic in Tucson,AZ area?

Need to know if anyone has a recommendation for a good mechanic in the Tucson, AZ area? Trying to help out my sister who lives in a small town about 60 miles from Tucson and she needs some work done to her 2000+ Chevy Malibu. Trying to find someone she can trust and is not some hack job Pep Boys jockey.

    Thanks!

Weird, I thought I replied to this last week!

If you have someone in Sierra Vista, that is perfect. She actually works in Sierra Vista and lives Huachuca City. Thanks for any help!

I lived there for a long time and know quite a few good specialists, depending on what she is needing. What's her issue?

Sorry about the delat but if she still needs someone have her give Desert Automotive a call. Their number is 520-803-8300. Tom is probably the guy she will want to speak with.

Kurt - I'm not really 100% sure, she took it to Pepboys and got new tires and apparently are trying to tell her there is some sensor on her suspension that needs replaced and that she needs new struts. Apparently she's been having some battery issues as well, but quite honestly I just don't trust the monkey's working at Pepboys. I've been trying to find a place I can get the Service Manual for her car, but have only found a few places that want to charge an arm and a leg. Gonna keep looking for that, and then I'll also be headed out there around Memorial Day weekend to try and help her get the car sorted out.

Chris - thanks a bunch for the suggestion! We will definitely check them out while I'm there! I'll see if maybe she can contact them prior to me getting there and maybe that can give the car a once over and give her an honest opinion about any repairs/maintenance and such she might need to do.

Can anyone recommend a shop they'd trust with a heavily modified MK IV Supra turbo?

We built one for a customer in Phoenix and I'd like to be able to recommend a shop to perform maintenance on it. I'll be there next weekend tweaking the tune for local fuel and conditions so I'll give it a look over while I'm there, but he's going to need somewhere to go.

My shop is actually in Tucson, AZ if you'd like me to take a look. We mostly specialize in Europeans cars but have no issues working on other cars. Our shop number is 5202041483.

    There is also:

I see alot of Supras coming in and out of the shop. I've talked to the owner and he seems pretty knowledgeable.

Thanks guys. I flew down there Saturday to tweak the tune at AZ Dyno Chip and looked the car over while I was there. It still doesn't need anything other than an oil change, but 900+ wheel HP cars will need more than that. It's just a matter of time.
