i wonder if they would still consider Vauxhalls 'little' if they came across the likes of the 450-500bhp tigras/corsa
    NABR doesn't care about 450-500bhp...

This whole thread, as well as it's counterpart in the Lilliputian Car Enthusisats forum, has had me laughing for an hour straight. British people sound so proper even when they are trying to be all "slangy", "urban" and "kewl", it's precious.

I have this mental image of really young versions of Terry Gilliam or John Cleese, decked out all "gangsta" with backwards visors and everything- but meeting to chat about their midget cars over tea and crumpets.

The funny thing is these guys are still under the impression he got banned for bad grammar. Or that we ban people who occasionally make grammatical / spelling errors. This is not a mistake, it's a trainwreck:

hi guys, would just like thank chris for all the email,s and help he has given me ref the spool valve, i am in the uk and its very difficult finding info, so registered here and pm,ed chris, very helpful and informative guy, whom i hope to be doing dealings with soon...bernie uk
But that's not why he was banned. He was only directed to the rules at that point. Then there was this:

i presume as i have read the rules several time john, you are referring to the words ref and info, as far as i know ref and info are officially recognised as shortened and fully accepted worldwide abbreviations. if that is not the case on here i am sorry. as i am a member on over 100 worldwide forums i shall not bother you chaps again..thanks shaun byrne.

    And the completely hilarious:

interesting john, as you cant even use the english language yourself.

couldn't and You're are not words but two words strung together to make a slang word

could not and you are would be correct. so please and i type this with respect to this forum do not critise me for my post..
We didn't ban you for having bad grammar. We banned you for being stupid. Occasional mistakes we can handle. Sharing our board with absolute morons just because "we're all into cars / motorsports"? Not a chance. There are a million boards that tolerate stupid people. This is not one of them.

    Josh is correct.

The first ban was for arguing, and it should have happened a lot sooner per NABR tradition.

The other bans were for trolling.

Many other registrations were denied before they had a chance to become trolls.

    Happy Holidays

Why do we have a public section?

Seriously - has it ever added any value?

In theory, there's no difference between "theory" and "practice". In practice, there is.

Speaking of the Brits. I would want to move too if I had to deal with these jerkoffs every day.

I wonder this myself. Generally NABR exists and operates in a self serving way (and I mean that in a positive way), what does this section do for us?

Perhaps the biggest thing people don't understand is the idea that a forum doesn't have to be a benevolent entity, giving to random jerkfaces that don't deserve it. I don't know why the idea of a forum that doesn't do this is so insulting. Probably because there's so many entitlement minded jerkfaces.

I think we should welcome and accommodate these silly little tarts. I've lifted the ban on two of their user accounts.
