    Default Wes Hess Donation Fund

Rather than pull money from our NABR server account, I want to request donations to assist the Hess family during this most trying time to a separate account. This is purely voluntary but I want to ensure that Wes' family and his medical bills are addressed. Now I know we won't put even a dimple in them, but right now every little bit helps and he really needs us, along with our prayers. I believe we're a tight knit family here and even though times are tight for everyone, every little bit helps. Send it to jkanser@bellsouth.net for paypal or PM me for sending checks, etc. Let's do our best on this guys. God bless and Merry Christmas.

    Sent over some.

This is one of the things I like most about this community, the ability it has to band together and help one of our own in need.

I know it's not much, but I just made a donation also.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone had any contact with his family yet? It's probably too soon but I'm sure they would be happy to hear that the entire community is praying for him.

Wow, not everyone who has donated has replied to the thread. Thanks for the generosity for Wes guys. I need to set up a contact who is either close to the family or part of his family to send this to. Merry Christmas!

As an update, we have had the donation thread open for less than 24 hours and we have received over 1K in donations thus far. You guys are amazing and I myself am deeply grateful that we can help out our family. I will update throughout this ordeal and I plan to contact the family in the next day or two. If anyone has contact with them now, please update us as to Wes' condition. Thanks!

Guys, one other thing. Please don't apologize on the amount which you donate. I don't care if it's $1, every little bit helps right now. And for those that cannot donate right now, please just say a prayer each day for him. Thanks.

I've never met Wes, but I have a great respect for him as a fellow DSM brother.
I'll be praying for a full and speedy recovery.
    Donation sent.

Joe, can I share your donation address with another DSM forum, or would you rather it be NABR only?

I sent what I had in my paypal account, which wasn't much. It'll be a few days until more is transferred over from my bank account. I asked a few people at the church I attend to pray about him in their weekly prayer circle as well.

Right now I'm as broke as it gets so I don't have any money that I can send. I do have probably $300-500 worth of burn dressing that he's gonna need when he gets out (if what I read about him having burns is true). I've been holding onto it for an occasion such as this. I don't know where to send it though. Should it be sent to somebody local that will be in contact with him? If anybody can tell me the best way to get this to him and his family that would be great.

Money sent to help someone who needs it more than me. I've never met him, but hearing about a longtime NABR member in this situation makes me sick to my stomach. Godspeed, Wes.

I'm sorry I'm late with a donation, I've been in Timbucktu for the past week with no internet. This is definitely not the news I had hoped to see when I get back to civilization But it makes me very proud to see the way the NABR/DSM community can pull together.

Absolutely terrible news. I sent what I could to help offset the cost. I would gladly be interested in a Hesspower sticker so Wes is remembered not only by me but everyone in attendance.

Yeah, I'd love to see some Hesspower stickers as well. I'm not much of a sticker guy, but I'd love to run one in memory of one of our own as well.
